- "Cedarkin" / "We" / "Us" โ refers to Cedarkin, a home care service based at No. 137, Section 3, Minzu East Road, East District, Hsinchu 300, Taiwan.
- "Client" โ the elderly individual receiving care services.
- "User" / "You" โ any person using this website or engaging with our services, including family representatives.
- "Services" โ the care programs and related support offered by Cedarkin as described on this website.
- "Agreement" โ these Terms & Conditions together with any applicable service agreement.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website or engaging Cedarkin's services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement. If you are acting on behalf of an elderly family member, you confirm that you have the necessary authority to do so.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website or engage our services.
3. Service Description
Cedarkin provides in-home elderly care services in Hsinchu, Taiwan, including Social Engagement Visits, Medical Appointment Management, and the All-Inclusive Home Wellness Program. Service availability is subject to capacity and geographic coverage. We reserve the right to decline service requests where coverage is not available.
Cedarkin's services are supportive in nature and do not constitute medical treatment, nursing care, or specialist healthcare. Where medical intervention is required, we will advise you to seek appropriate professional healthcare.
4. User Responsibilities
When using our website or services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when making an enquiry or entering a service agreement
- Notify us promptly of any changes to the client's health or care needs
- Treat Cedarkin caregivers with respect and ensure they can operate safely
- Not request caregivers to perform tasks outside the agreed scope of service
- Not use this website for any unlawful or misleading purpose
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this website โ including text, structure, design, and materials โ is the property of Cedarkin and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws in Taiwan. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without our written permission. A limited licence is granted to view this website for personal, non-commercial purposes.
6. Payment Terms
Service fees are as published on our website and confirmed in individual service agreements. All pricing is stated in New Taiwan Dollars (NTD). Payment terms, methods, and schedules are set out in your service agreement.
Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation terms vary by program type and are specified in the service agreement. Generally, cancellations made with at least 48 hours' notice will not incur a charge. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be billed at the applicable session rate. We handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis with fairness and transparency.
7. Disclaimers
Cedarkin's services are provided in good faith and with care. However, we do not make any warranty that outcomes will meet specific expectations. Our caregivers are trained and vetted, but home care is inherently variable and dependent on circumstances outside our control.
This website is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free at all times.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Cedarkin's liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or gross negligence.
9. Termination
Either party may end a service agreement by providing written notice in accordance with the terms specified in that agreement. Cedarkin reserves the right to suspend or terminate services immediately where safety or conduct concerns arise. On termination, any outstanding fees for services delivered remain payable.
10. Dispute Resolution
We encourage any concerns to be raised directly with us first. Most issues can be resolved through straightforward communication. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
11. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with your service agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cedarkin.
- Severability: If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will update the Last Updated date above and, for material changes, notify active clients by email. Continued use of our website or services following publication of changes constitutes acceptance.
